WEF 2020 | What to expect?

Climate change and environmental destruction top the risks highlighted by world decision-makers in a survey ahead of the 2020 gathering of the global elite in the Swiss ski resort of Davos.
The World Economic Forum gets under way on Tuesday under the theme “Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World”.
Nearly 3,000 leaders from all over the world, including 53 heads of state or government, will attend the meeting.

President Ramaphosa has opted to skip this 2020’s World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting to focus on some of his domestic and continental responsibilities. South Africa will be represented at the WEF meeting by the Ministers of Finance, Tito Mboweni, International Relations and Cooperation, Naledi Pandor and Trade and Industry Minister, Ebrahim Patel.

Massmart and Aspen Pharmacare chairperson Kuseni Dlamini joins us via Skype from Durban to share his thoughts on next week’s gathering in Davos.
