Social establishments not complying with lockdown regulations warned

During the president’s address to the nation next week he is expected to remind citizens not to let their guard down, law enforcement agencies have vowed to clamp down on establishments for contravening the Disaster Management Act, including operating past the midnight curfew.
Just this past weekend, SAPS and Johannesburg metro police arrested several people and shut down some nightclubs which were packed to the rafters with patrons not wearing masks. Nightclubs are still prohibited from re-opening under level one of the lockdown. The country’s Health Minister
Dr. Zweli Mkhize has raised concerns about the rising number of COVID-19 infections.
