Originally written in French, The Little Prince is the world’s most translated book, outside of religious works. It has been translated in 300 languages including English, Zulu, Afrikaans and Xhosa.
The book tells the story of a little boy who leaves the safety of his own tiny planet to travel the universe, learning the vagaries of adult behaviour through a series of extraordinary encounters.
Known as a children’s tale, it is also considered as a metaphor of ‘a grown-up meeting his inner child’.
This piece of art work is currently showcasing at the Market Theatre and joining us is Clara Vaughan the Directors of the play and Balindile ka Ngcobo a cast member.
