We’ve has an eventful week politically, starting with a meeting in Pretoria last Sunday where the African National Congress top brass met with President Jacob Zuma, in what has been revealed by ANC Treasurer General, Paul Mashatile, to have been a meeting to ask him to vacate his position, a request he apparently declined. That meeting led to a roller coaster week resulting in the postponement of the State of the Nation Address and subsequently the postponement and or cancellation of multiple events and the Ubuntu Awards ceremony, linked to the SONA.
We’re joined now by two analysts to look at these developments and try get some sense of the way forward. Ralph Mathekga is with us in the studio and Khaya Sithole joins us via Skype.
