A memorial service for Ontlametse Phalatse, the Progeria sufferer that touched the hearts of South Africans, was held in Hebron in North West on Wednesday.
Phatlatse was well-known for her jubilant, courageous spirit and her determination to live her life despite the debilitating disease.
The 18-year-old suffered breathing complications and died last week at the Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Pretoria.
Hundreds of community members gathered at the Mmanotshe Maduane High School in Hebron to celebrate a life well lived.
