SA participation at the 58th Venice Biennale

The Venice Biennale of Art, also known as the Arts Olympics are back with three leading South African visual artists set to represent the country at the biggest and oldest Art Event in the world. Curated by Cape Town based Nkule Mabaso and Nomusa Makhubo , the featured artists are Dineo Seshee Bopape, Tracey Rose and Mawande Ka Zenzile, who will be in a three-person exhibition “The Stronger we Become” running from 11 May to 24 November 2019 in Venice, Italy. To talk to us more about the South African participation at one of the world’s biggest art events, we are joined in studio by Arts and Culture DG Vusumuzi Mkhize.
