President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered a keynote address at the 70th anniversary commemoration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at the Constitutional Hill, Johannesburg. The event was attended by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ms Michelle Bachelet. South Africa joined work in over 195 countries and territories around the world, in showing their good practice by making the Universal Declaration of Human Rights broadly known and applied in society. Today’s celebration and commitment from Civil Society is an important moment of history, when challenges of Human Rights keep arising day after day.
