An Imbizo was convened in the city to address the scourge of violence against women and children and the role men must play to protect woman against all forms of abuse. It was also a platform for an audacious campaign. The men dressed in doeks as a sign of living a day in woman’s shoes. The men pledged their support for victims and vowed to be on the for front line to assist woman to open cases, report crimes and hold perpetrators to account.
