No taxis for some Soweto commuters on Friday

Taxi commuters in some parts of Soweto will have to make alternative transport arrangements. The three-month long route and rank closure comes into effect tomorrow. This, despite an eleventh-hour agreement reached by NANDUWE and WATA taxi associations to end the route disputes. The Transport MEC announced the closures on Wednesday following a shootout that left six people injured.
