Lupus is a leading cause of mortality in females: Study

A new study has found that the chronic autoimmune condition, lupus, is a leading cause of mortality in females. According to the research, lupus is the primary chronic inflammatory disease in women aged between 15 and 24. It ranks higher than diabetes, HIV, chronic lower respiratory disease, nephritis, pneumonitis, and liver diseases but, it has largely gone unrecognised until now.
