Lanxess Chrome mineworkers protest against alleged corruption

Lanxess Chrome Mine management is expected to respond to worker’s union NUMSA regarding their grievances which has led to an unprotected strike by mine workers. Mining operations were halted on Friday in the wake of the strike action, when the two parties could not reach an agreement.
Workers are complaining about alleged corruption and maladministration, particularly in the awarding of contracts.
