Free Market Foundation critisises ICASA’s sports broadcasting regulation

The Free Market Foundation of Southern Africa says the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has put forward a flawed draft amendment regulation on sports broadcasting services. It says ICASA has not done its homework on why there should be a change to existing regulations. Sports federations and bodies currently hold the power of its disciplines by putting the rights to broadcast major events such as rugby and soccer to the highest bidder.
