Expressions – Youth Unemployment, 21 May 2019

South Africa’s unemployment rate has risen to its highest. Last week, Statistics South Africa released unemployment numbers for the first quarter of 2019; Unemployment rate has increased to 27.6% That means 6.2 million South Africans are unemployed. The youth aged between 15–24 years are the most vulnerable in the South African labour market, and their unemployment rate has risen to 55,2%.
