Endangered vultures die from poisoning

The discovery of 27 poisoned vultures in KwaZulu-Natal in less than a week has shocked conservationists. Among the carcasses were African white-backed vultures and a white-headed vulture – both critically endangered species. Two vultures that survived the poisoning are fighting for their lives at a rehabilitation centre.
A criminal case has been opened.
