The Easter Weekend Road Safety operations are in full swing countrywide. On the N1 North towards Limpopo, several major road safety awareness operations are underway with law enforcement.
Traffic volumes have started to pick up as many motorists embark on their Easter Weekend destinations. 10 people already died in a fatal accident involving a truck and minibus taxi between the Kranskop Plaza and Mookgophong, Limpopo. Transport Minister, Dr. Blade Nzimande, also expressed concern about truck drivers who threaten to shut down some of South Africa’s major national roads during this Easter Weekend. He says such actions will not be tolerated.
