The international community is calling on the world to recognise, celebrate and stand in solidarity with people with albinism. This as the globe marks International Albinism Awareness Day on Thursday 13th June 2019. The United Nations says people with albinism continue to face challenges that undermine their enjoyment of human rights. These vary from stigma and discrimination, to barriers in health, education, and are ‘invisible’ in social and political arenas.
