CT residents march over tariff hikes

A handful of concerned Cape Town residents march to parliament over the increase in rates and taxes

The group handed over a memorandum to MPs, listing what they say is unfair billing and evidence of tender irregularities by the city of Cape Town.

Angry residents are opposing the City’s proposed 26.9% rise in water and sanitation tariffs, 7.2% rates hike and an 8.1% rise in electricity tariffs
