The World Health Organisation this week said more evidence is coming to light showing the Coronavirus might be transmitted through floating particulates, which infect people who breathe them in. Scientists from 32 countries recently wrote an open letter to the W.H.O and presented evidence revealing smaller floating particles of the virus can be inhaled, supporting the theory of the airborne transmission of the virus between people.
What is not in question, is that it is spread by droplets expelled from the nose and mouth, that sink to surfaces and the ground.
Joining us now to discuss this, is Professor Jeffrey Mphahlele, the Vice President for research at the South African Medical Research Council or SAMRC
