The ruling party in Botswana, the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) says it will leave nothing to chance as the general elections are only a few days away. BDP has been ruling Botswana since its independence in 1966. Some predict that it will face a fierce challenge from the opposition in 2019, after breaking ranks with its former leader Ian Khama. During the last elections in 2014, the opposition, Umbrella For Democratic Change, won 20 seats in the 57 seat parliament, a first for Botswana politics. Itumeleng Kgajane has more.
