The families of the Bhisho Massacre victims have accused the Eastern Cape government of not keeping to its promise of giving education, health and housing support to them, 27 years into their death.
The erstwhile Ciskei defence force opened fire on 80 000 people marching to Bhisho to demand an end to military rule and the re-absorption of the homeland into South Africa. The late Chris Hani, Steve Tshwete and President Cyril Ramaphosa were among those leading the march.
