Baby-Lee’s family feel let down by the criminal justice system

The family of slain boxing star, Leighandre “Baby-Lee” Jegels, and the boxing fraternity say they feel let down by the criminal justice system.
The 25-year-old South African boxing and karate champion was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend in Mdantsane near East London, two weeks ago. Bulelani Mnyaka, a policeman, used his service pistol to kill Jegels. He died in hospital later from injuries sustained in a car crash while fleeing from police. A memorial was held for Jegels today in East London.
