AmaXhosa King’s funeral | A fusion of traditional custom, military and state protocol
A fusion of traditional custom, military and state protocol for the special official funeral of the AmaXhosa monarch King Mpendulo Zwelonke Sigcawu, is a first for South Africa. SANDF and AmaXhosa Royal Kingdom worked together to prepare for the burial at Nqadu Great Place in the Eastern Cape on Friday. King Sigcawu is the first coronated King in democratic South Africa to be accorded a Special Official Funeral Category 1.
