A large-scale job creation project, in the Eastern Cape, kicked off today, with the passing out of 400 beneficiaries in the Youth in Infrastructure Maintenance Development programme.
The trainees will be deployed to government institutions, like hospitals, clinics, and school to assist with infrastructure maintenance. The aim is to train and deploy 5000 young people, over the next five years. Our reporter, Yanga Funani attended the passing out parade and spoke to one of the beneficiaries.
